TrackASO in your AI assistant

Ask Claude, Cursor or Codex where your app ranks, what to target next and what competitors changed. They read your TrackASO data through MCP — hosted, nothing to install.

1. Create a key

In TrackASO, open Settings → API & MCP and create a key. It’s shown once; keep it like a password. You can revoke it there any time.

2. Connect your assistant

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http trackaso https://trackaso.app/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"

Cursor, Claude Desktop and other MCP clients

Add a remote (Streamable HTTP) server with this config:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "trackaso": {
      "url": "https://trackaso.app/api/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

3. Ask in plain words

  • “Where does my app rank in Germany today, and what moved since yesterday?”
  • “Which three searches should I go after this week?”
  • “Research ‘habit tracker’ in the UK — who’s in the top 10 and how hard is it?”
  • “Fit these phrases into my 100-byte keyword field.”
  • “Follow this competitor and tell me where they beat me.”

Tools

list_apps

List the apps tracked in this TrackASO account, with their ids, App Store ids and ratings.

get_rankings

Current App Store search rank, day-over-day change, popularity estimate and difficulty for every tracked keyword of an app.

keyword_history

Daily rank history for one tracked keyword (null rank = not in the top ~250).

add_keywords

Start tracking keywords for an app in a storefront. The first ranks are fetched immediately.

research_keyword

Live App Store research for any term: popularity estimate (5–100), difficulty (0–100) and the current top 10 apps.

suggest_keywords

App Store search autocomplete suggestions for a seed term — real queries users type.

optimize_keywords

Build the 100-byte App Store keyword field from candidate phrases: removes words already in the name/subtitle, stopwords and redundant plurals, and packs the rest by value.

keyword_opportunities

Tiered strategy for an app's tracked keywords: quick wins, terms to defend, reachable and long-shot terms, based on the app's ratings vs the current top 10.

list_competitors

Competitors followed for an app. Their positions for each keyword appear in get_rankings under `competitors` (store id → rank).

follow_competitor

Follow a competitor app (App Store link or numeric id) to see its position next to yours for every tracked keyword. Up to 5 per app.

refresh_rankings

Re-check an app's keywords now. Only keywords last checked more than 6 hours ago (24 hours if the app isn't in the results) are refreshed; ranks also update every night on their own.

Limits

Up to 120 requests a minute per account. Tools that ask the App Store live have a daily allowance (reset 00:00 UTC):

  • research_keyword: 100 a day
  • suggest_keywords: 200 a day
  • refresh_rankings: 20 a day

Answers fetched in the last 24 hours are reused and don’t count. Your tracked keywords keep updating every night either way. The MCP is part of the Indie plan.
