Your app name gets 30 characters, the subtitle 30 and the hidden keyword field 100. That’s tight. But a storefront doesn’t only read your main language: the US App Store is widely observed to also index the Spanish (Mexico) localization. That’s room for a second subtitle and a second keyword field.
How to use it
- In App Store Connect, add the Spanish (Mexico) localization to your app.
- Keep the English localization for your strongest words: name, subtitle, keyword field.
- Use the Spanish (Mexico) keyword field for different words — repeating words already in your English metadata adds nothing.
- Real Spanish searches belong there too: the US has a large Spanish-speaking audience.
Stay on the safe side
- Name, subtitle and screenshots are visible: make them real Spanish, not a copy of your English text.
- Only use words that describe your app. Competitor brand names get apps rejected.
- The same idea works in other stores — each has its own set of indexed languages, so check Apple’s list before you rely on it.
Check it actually worked
Indexing isn’t documented in detail, so measure: track the new words in the US store before the update ships, and watch them for a week or two after. TrackASO checks every keyword every night in each country you choose — you’ll see the words you added start ranking (or not).
Building the field itself: the free 100-byte counter and the keyword helper drop duplicates and plurals for you.
